The Sabbath Healing Of A Blind Man

Adam Ritchard | John 9:1-41; Proverbs 29:25; Isaiah 29:18, 35:5 — In this the sixth miracle recorded in John's Gospel, Jesus restores a blind man's sight on the sabbath. For those present at the time and for us today, this sign not only displays Jesus' divinity and power, but also challenges our tendency to spiritual blindness. Will wayward focus, pride, or fear of man keep us in spiritual blindness? Or, like the healed man, will our eyes be opened to the revelation of Jesus' grace, and our faith be anchored to the one true light of the world?
