The King We Need
March 29, 2026

Andrew Baker | Matthew 21:1-9; Luke 19:39-40 — Jesus' triumphal entry announced His Kingship over a world much like ours - filled with conflict, oppression and suffering. But despite the hopes of many at the time, Jesus did not come to conquer earthly powers for the sake of physical freedom. Rather, He came to to deal with the root cause of all earthly brokenness: to liberate every human heart from the clutches of sin and conquer the power of death itself. Jesus did not come as the king humankind expected or wanted, but He came as the one we so desperately need.
