The Father's Affirmation
September 6, 2026

Andrew Baker | Matthew 3:13-17 — After Jesus was baptised by John, the heavens opened, the Spirit descended upon Him, and the Father spoke over Him. While these events take up only a few short verses, their significance cannot be understated. Before Jesus had begun preaching or teaching or healing or saving in any public capacity, the Father's voice had already proclaimed identity, belovedness, and affirmation over Him. The Father's heart speaks the same over each one of us without condition, founding our identity, forming us for His calling, and freeing us to live without striving.
