Prayer: Thanksgiving

Andrew Baker | Philippians 4:5b-7; 1 Timothy 2:1; Colossians 4:2 — Across the New Testament we see Paul exhort his readers to pray with thanksgiving - not as an afterthought after breakthrough in circumstances, but in the very midst of the trial. Thanksgiving draws our gaze upward to the faithfulness of God who is always at hand; it points us to Jesus our ever present hope and anchor; and it forms within us a humble dependence on Him our source and sustainer.
