Worship Team Application

We are honoured that you would consider joining our Worship Teams at Vision! Please take the time to read through our core values and fill out this application and we will follow up with the next steps.

The next steps will involve a meeting with our Worship Pastor, Adam, and having some form of audition - whether that is as an individual, or within the context of playing within a small team.

**Please note, before serving on worship teams we ask that you attend Vision Church consistently for at least 6 months**.

**Please also note that filling in the below application does not necessarily guarantee a place on the Vision Worship teams**.

As the nature of serving on worship teams is an ‘up-front’ and on-stage one, we consider it to be a leadership role in the life of the church. As such, all worship team members are expected to agree to and abide by the Vision Worship Guidelines, which outline the expectations and core values of the Vision Worship ministry. Please take the time to read these here:

The Guidelines fall under the broad characteristics of heart, character and skill. We will assess applications through these core values.

HEART

The priority of having a relationship with Jesus, and pursuing that relationship above all else. This is outworked in a love for the Lord, and a desire and commitment to living out faith in a way that is genuine, whilst seeking to grow in holiness.

CHARACTER

Character is so important and should be one of our highest aims in life, as we seek to honour the Lord in all things, and live in a way that is worthy both of the gospel (Phil 1:27) and indeed the calling we have received (Eph 4:1). Humility, servant-heartedness, purity and faithfulness are key aspects of our character.

SKILL

There are practical requirements to joining worship teams, and these will depend on the specific role. By way of a couple of examples, a backing vocalist must have the ability to sing in tune, stick to their particular vocal part and contribute both melody and harmony to the worship team. A drummer will need the ability to play in time with the click (metronome), and set the tone and tempo for the rest of the team. There are other instrument specific expectations - for further details, or any questions regarding this, please speak with Adam.
